About Me
My name is Rachel, and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a lifelong passion for dogs and a deep understanding of their health, behaviour, comfort and overall wellbeing. With clinical experience and hands on care, I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every dog I work with.
I created Hounds of Love to provide couples with the opportunity to include their beloved dogs in their wedding day in a seamless and stress-free way. I understand that your dog is not just a pet, but a cherished member of your family. My role is to ensure they are cared for with the same level of attention, patience, and professionalism that you would expect from a trusted veterinary professional.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me out in nature with my own dog. I’m incredibly fortunate to live in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, where we spend much of our time exploring woodland trails, open moorland, and quiet coastal paths. Being surrounded by nature is something I truly value, and it’s shaped both my calm approach and my deep respect for the environment. I am very eco-conscious in both my personal life and my business, always striving to make thoughtful, sustainable choices wherever possible.
Alongside my work, I’m passionate about volunteering with animal charities overseas. In 2025, I travelled to Sri Lanka to care for street dogs with the WeCare charity, providing hands-on nursing care and support to local communities. In 2026, I will be volunteering in Grenada with the Carriacou Animal Hospital, continuing my commitment to helping animals in need. For me, volunteering is incredibly rewarding knowing that I am contributing to the welfare of vulnerable animals and supporting communities in need.
Caring for animals isn’t just my profession, it’s at the heart of who I am.
