Making a Difference
Alongside my work with Hounds of Love, I am deeply passionate about supporting animal welfare on a global scale. I’ve been fortunate enough to volunteer with amazing organisations overseas that are making a real difference to the lives of animals and the communities around them.
In 2025, I travelled to Sri Lanka to work with WECare Worldwide, a UK registered charity dedicated to providing vital veterinary care to the island’s street dogs, that often have no access to even basic health services. WECare operates a fully equipped veterinary hospital on the south coast and runs community outreach programmes including catchneutervaccinaterelease (CNVR) clinics and educational initiatives designed to improve animal welfare and promote responsible pet care. Their work has treated thousands of roaming dogs and continues to change attitudes and standards of care across Sri Lanka.
In 2026, I am due to volunteer with the Carriacou Animal Hospital in Grenada, which is the only veterinary care centre on the island of Carriacou. This independent nonprofit organisation provides essential preventative and medical treatment for dogs and cats, including spay and neuter services, routine health care, vaccinations and emergency treatment. The clinic is largely run by volunteers and relies on donations and visiting veterinary professionals to deliver its services, which are vital in a community with limited access to veterinary support.
Volunteering with these charities has been one of the most rewarding parts of my professional journey. It’s a privilege to contribute my skills where they are genuinely needed, to support dedicated teams on the ground and to witness firsthand the impact that compassionate care and community education can have on animals.
